ResearchMy scholarship connects linguistic pragmatics and interaction, language learning, and teacher education. I am interested in (a) the emergence of pragmatic and interactional competencies in language learners, (b) how such competencies can be taught and learned in the language classroom, and (c) exploring the implications for the teaching of second/foreign languages.
